Warranty Policy
At Ultimate Fitness we stand behind the quality of our equipment. This policy explains the cover that applies to products bought from us, how to claim, and what falls outside the warranty.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Under the CPA, where goods are defective, unsafe or not fit for purpose, you may return them within 6 months of delivery and choose a repair, replacement or refund. This warranty is offered in addition to that right, not instead of it.
What is covered
Every product we sell carries a 12 month warranty from the date of delivery, covering the frame and structure, the motor and electrical components, the console, and all other parts.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal home use. Where a fault is confirmed as a manufacturing defect we repair it wherever possible. If it cannot be economically repaired, we replace the product or refund you.
How to make a claim
Please tell us as soon as you can after discovering a fault, so we can assess it while the cause is still clear. Telling us later does not affect your cover within the 12 month period.
Send us:
- Your order number
- A description of the fault
- Clear photographs or a short video showing the problem
- Any error code displayed on the console
We assess every claim to confirm whether it is covered. Many issues are resolved remotely with guidance or a replacement part. Where a machine needs to be seen, we arrange either an on-site technician visit or collection for repair, depending on the fault and on technician availability in your area.
Please do not attempt your own repair before contacting us, as unauthorised work is not covered.
Where a fault is confirmed as covered, we arrange and pay for collection and return of the item, or for the technician visit, at no cost to you.
If the reported fault turns out not to be a manufacturing defect, for example damage from misuse, incorrect assembly, or no fault found on inspection, a charge applies, which we quote before any work begins. Where the item has already been collected, the cost of returning it to you is also payable.
What is not covered
Warranty cover does not apply to damage or faults resulting from:
- Misuse, abuse or neglect
- Accidents or improper handling
- Normal wear and tear, including running belts, deck boards, cushioning, pedals, grips, upholstery and other consumable parts
- Rust or corrosion caused by sweat, humidity or inadequate care. Sweat is highly corrosive and must be wiped off after every session, equipment must be kept in a dry ventilated space, and harsh cleaning products can also cause corrosion. Corrosion arising from a defect in materials or finish is covered
- Cosmetic marks and surface finish that do not affect how the equipment works
- Incorrect voltage, power surges or water damage
- Assembly not carried out according to the manual, or repairs and modifications carried out by anyone other than Ultimate Fitness or an approved technician
- Failure to follow the instructions for use and maintenance in the product manual
Assembling the equipment yourself does not affect your warranty. Every machine ships with the tools and a manual so you can assemble it, and our in home assembly service is optional and quoted separately.
Ice baths
Because the ice bath is designed to hold cold water, oxidation and corrosion of fittings from normal use, standing water or inadequate drying are not covered. Please empty and dry the tub after use.
Commercial use
The C1000 Elite Curved Treadmill is rated for commercial use, and its 12 month warranty applies whether it is installed in a home or in a gym, studio, hotel, estate clubhouse or workplace.
Our other models are intended for home use. If you are planning a commercial or shared installation, please contact us before you buy so we can confirm the right model and the cover that applies.
Caring for your equipment
To keep your warranty valid and your equipment performing at its best, please follow the care and maintenance guidance in your product manual. For most machines that means keeping the unit level and clean, wiping down after every session, lubricating the running belt at the stated interval, checking belt tension and alignment, and periodically tightening fasteners. Keeping a simple record of maintenance helps if you ever need to claim.
Who the warranty covers
This warranty covers the original purchaser and is not transferable if the equipment is sold on.
Limit of liability
Except as set out below, our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the product, excluding delivery charges, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use or misuse of equipment.
This limit does not apply to death, personal injury, or damage to property. In those cases our liability is determined by section 61 of the Consumer Protection Act, and nothing in these terms limits, excludes or reduces it.
